EVENT DESCRIPTION AND RULES
GENRAL RULES –
PORTABLE PUMP RACE
Object: Connect all equipment. Fill a large barrel
with water from a portable tank in the shortest amount of time, using up to 5
firefighters.
Your equipment needed:
□ 1 portable pump
□ 1 length hard suction hose and required adapters
□ 1 strainer (your choice of style)
□ spanner wrenches (optional)

Hint: You can tip the tub as
needed, but you cannot move it any closer.
WATER POLO
Object: Pumping from your engine (pumper), move the
ball across the opponent’s goal line.
Use up to 5
firefighters; 1 MUST stay with the truck as a pump operator. Only shoot
water at the ball. Shooting the other team will disqualify you.
NOTE - Maximum pump pressure allowed will be announced at event.
Your equipment needed:
□ 1 pumper with tank water
□ 100 ft. of 1.5” or 1.75” hose
□ Fog, combination, or straight stream nozzle.

Object: As a team, get dressed the quickest and put
out the “fire”.
On command of “GO”,
the first firefighter will don all his/her protective gear and when completely
suited up (per the judge) exit their area and then touch the next person in
line. Each firefighter does the same in succession. The last firefighter to
dress must then extinguish the “fire” at the end of the course. The team with
the quickest total time wins.

Each firefighter must provide for him/herself
